Hunt Bass Fish Hatchery

The Hunt Bass Fish Hatchery (named after Governer George W.P. Hunt) was built in the early 1930s for the Arizona Game and Fish Department by the WPA ( a works project setup during the Depression) to provide a breeding area for warm water fish such as bluegill and bass.
